I've finished the bodice of my Burda dress and took a couple of pictures but I'll post those tomorrow; it's late and I'm tired
Of course, yet once again, the Burda instructions were hazy, and literal thinking Laura took awhile to figure it out. But so far nothing has been ruined and I'll continue tomorrow night.
I did get to thinking though, that at this time last year I never would have made a muslin, I never would have attempted an invisible zipper, I have about 10 more purses than I've ever had in my life and I think I'm truly making progress!
If it weren't for all the fantastic sewists who take time to blog, I'm sure I would have thrown in the towel by now. The internet can truly be a wonderful thing.
I tell everyone I meet, who shows the slightest inkling of sewing interest, to please check out some blogs and see for themselves that sewing is alive and well in our world.
We had a heat wave roll through and I think it's about 40 degrees here right now, so for the first night in a long time I didn't bother with the fire place. But you can see from this picture that Chlorox still feels the need for warmth and closeness.
I have my computer on my lap and she's lying on my legs. What a tough life she has.

Burda instructions are terrible! I am wanting to make the wrap dress and the double cuff in 1/08 issue..
but I'm scared too!!
I can't believe what I learned yesterday.. I'm thinking my sewing life is going to me easy after todays classes...
I'm glad you liked my toggle buttons, I think they're so neat!!!
A purse would be so cute with them!
